Geni
I wanted to talk about Geni.com and how to use it. Geni is a platform that creates a family tree. You create an account and it connects and shares your information with other people who are part of the same tree. It’s free to use and secure. It’s fascinating because you can see important dates, pictures and distant family connections. Plus, the trees are easy to follow.
Here are some links you can click on to see what it’s like inside of Geni:
Want to see an important date?
Click on the person to get to their profile page and then go to their timeline.
Here’s Judi’s profile page
Want to see pictures of that person?
Go to the media Tab, you can view pictures that include Judi. https://www.geni.com/people/Judi-Mink/6000000008736882854#/tab/media
By noodling around on the site you can better understand how we’re all related and what it means to be, “once removed”. Since we are relatives, I’ve added you to the tree. It would be great if you could check your profile and add missing information, pictures etc.
Call me if you have any questions.
In the meantime, check out these pictures of me and my sisters, Sharon & Nancy. We used to be so cute! What happened???
Debbie here! I texted my dad to make sure they really called the dog Dingles. I love potty humor & think it’s a total inappropriate name for a dog. My mind goes right to dingleberry. ( Jimmy, Harris- comment with a joke!)
My dad said, “Dingles was the dog that got given away. He was always getting out. I think we gave him to the milk man who lived in the country. “
Dad, Sharon, Nancy- do you really believe that? It sounds so suspect & made up.
Just saying, I might have called bs on that story.
