Hi there,

Like many of you, I love my family.  I believe that family relationships, while not always easy, are the most important relationships. I also believe that the familial ties to the generations prior inform our present and our future.  I believe that we are the sum total of all those who came before us mixed with our unique personas.  Our roots are deep and the values that  we cherish are a result of generations struggling and thriving in their world.

My family makes fun of me (in a light hearted way) all the time saying I’m obsessed with all things either Jewish or Philly related.  While this is definitely true, I’m also obsessed with researching, connecting and unearthing our family story.  I want us to know where we came from and create a space where our children's children will be able to pass our story on to future generations.  

Through this blog, I’ll share the story of our families’ roots, which I’ve been able to trace back several generations. I’ll introduce you to people and events, both historical and mythical, mundane and scandalous that shaped the previous generations and inform the people who we are today.   

Look at this platform as an open conversation, a way to jog your memories and inspire you to share stories of family.
